Living Rent Gorgie/Dalry branch was founded in January 2020. We established ourselves as a mix of private, council, social tenants, shared owners and homeowners. We launched our branch officially after a year of growth in December 2020.
We are passionate about fighting to keep Gorgie Dalry fair, secure and a great place to live! We do this by running local campaigns and defending local tenants when they have problems with their landlord. We want all the tenants and residents living in Gorgie Dalry to have well-maintained, safe and affordable housing.
Current campaigns include...
- Pressuring 2021 candidates to implement rent controls in the private sector
- Pushing for no rent rises for social housing tenants in Dunedin Canmore/ Wheatley Group housing 2021 consultation
- Sorting out problems members face, especially on repairs in council housing in Westfield Court, Gorgie
